Please click on the below link for the contents sum insured calculator, but on the understanding that we make no representations as to the sufficiency or otherwise of the sum insured of the Cordell calculator.

Make sure you keep your policy up to date and keep some proof of ownership or value like a receipt. You want to be able to replace the items fast, with as little hassle as possible.

Start Calculating

If you don't insure your contents to their real value and something unexpected happens, you may not be able to replace all you have lost.

As the 'Sum Insured' in your policy is the maximum amount you can claim, it's very important that you are adequately insured, and have enough cover to cope with a serious loss.

Start calculating to work out your sum insured - the total amount of all the items added together.

Types of losses you can claim on.

When a sudden or unforeseeable event occurs causing an item or items in your contents insurance policy to become misplaced, stolen, damaged or experience a natural disaster the item will be covered per the terms previously agreed upon with your insurer.

Partial Loss

Occurs when some of the contents listed on your policy are destroyed. A partial loss means that you do not exceed your sum insured.

Total Loss

Refers to the result of completely exhausting the sum insured, meaning you are fully paid the value of the previously agreed sum insured.
